Location Data
We collect and process geographic location data — via address input or device location permissions — strictly to power our hyper-local community matching and service radius features.
This data enables us to show You relevant job postings, nearby Service Providers, and neighborhood activity within Your local area. Location data is not sold to third parties and is used solely to operate and improve the core functionality of the Application.
Communications Data
We collect, process, and store direct messages (DMs), public comments, and optional user phone numbers and email addresses to facilitate communication between marketplace participants.
Message content is stored securely and is accessible only to the sender and intended recipient. Public comments are visible to all users. We monitor communications solely for the purpose of enforcing our community guidelines and ensuring platform safety.
Third-Party Processors & Future Advertising
We partner with trusted infrastructure providers to deliver the Service. These include:
- Lovable Cloud / Supabase — for secure account authentication, database hosting, and data storage.
- Google Maps APIs — for location rendering, address autocomplete, and map visualization.
- Stripe — for secure payment processing. Financial data entered for Premium subscriptions is handled entirely by Stripe; My Yard does not store raw credit card numbers, CVV codes, or full bank account details on our servers.
We may display advertisements within the Application in the future. In such cases, third-party ad networks may use cookies or basic device identifiers to optimize and measure ad performance. Any future ad partnerships will be disclosed in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
Retention of Your Personal Data
- User Accounts: retained for the duration of your account relationship plus up to 24 months after account closure.
- Customer Support Data & Chat Transcripts: up to 24 months from the date of ticket closure.
- Application usage statistics & Server logs: up to 24 months for security monitoring and troubleshooting.
Delete Your Personal Data
